Sacramento has eroded local control over housing decisions, which impacts our ability to plan for traffic, growth, and disaster preparedness. As your Councilmember, I will work with stakeholders to find considerate and creative pathways to mitigate these risks.

• Thoughtful Leadership: Developments that undermine our City’s growth plan and land use values are being decided by the State, not by the City Council. I will work with staff and developers to ensure that our community values continue to be at the forefront of every decision shaping the future of our community.

• Pursue Local Control: A one-size-fits-all housing policy is not working for California’s suburban and rural communities. I will advocate for novel legislation that allows cities like Agoura Hills to regain authority over our zoning to ensure we have a say in what’s being built in our community.
